Greater Kashmir faced constant pressure to adapt in today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape. It faced three-faceted problems in this regard.
Technological Trends: Staying relevant requires continuous investment in new technologies. Greater Kashmir wanted to adopt emerging tools and platforms to enhance content delivery and audience engagement.
Data Security and Privacy: Protecting user data and complying with ever-changing privacy regulations is paramount. This involves robust security measures and staying updated on evolving legal requirements.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO): Ranking high in search results remains crucial for driving organic traffic. Greater Kashmir lacked thorough ongoing SEO strategies to ensure its content was easily discoverable by users.
The Plan
In the competitive world of online presence, standing out requires more than just content. It demanded a platform that amplifies the distribution and captivates the audience. We devised a three-step plan to optimize the content distribution strategy for Greater Kashmir.
1. Enter the SORTD desktop theme—a testament to how cutting-edge design and unwavering support can unlock exceptional results.
In the competitive landscape of online news publishing, a website’s theme plays a critical role beyond simply housing compelling content. Several key features were essential to attract organic traffic and achieve high SEO rankings.
Firstly, we prioritized a design that worked for large real estate like desktop & mobile flawlessly. Fast loading times were crucial, so themes optimized for speed were highly sought after. Additionally, with the majority of news consumption shifting to mobile devices, mobile optimization became a top priority.
Content optimization features like clear headings with relevant keywords, image alt tags, and structured data implementation were crucial for search engine visibility.
Furthermore, a strong technical SEO foundation was necessary. This involved well-structured and error-free code, semantic HTML elements for better search engine understanding, a well-structured XML sitemap, and the robots.txt file to control how search engines crawled the website. Strategic internal linking within the website also benefited both user experience and SEO.
Finally, we implemented features that enhanced user engagement, such as social media integration for easy article sharing, author bios to build trust, and related post suggestions.
2. Progressive web app & AMP implementation for mobile users
To adhere to Google’s mobile-first crawl & index strategy, we developed a progressive web app & AMP. It provided a native app-like feel, including features like offline functionality, push notifications, and home screen installations. This resulted in a smoother and more engaging experience compared to traditional mobile websites.
3. Native apps for loyal users
